Guten tag! It's Oktoberfest time! Northwood University has been hosting our Oktoberfest event for our alumni, students and friends for 16 years. We hope you can join us for fun and fellowship. Enjoy an evening of polka music, german cuisine & dessert, chicken dance, and more.

Tickets are complimentary for alumni and students. If you would like to bring a guest, tickets are only $25.

Topic: The Missing Ingredient in Organizational Success: Execution

Speaker: Dr. Matt O'Connor

Description: All organizations have plans, but not all organizations execute those plans effectively. Not all organizations actually become what they want or need to be. Why does this happen? There are many reasons, but one of the most important is a lack of effective "execution leadership." Effectively leading execution and requires a unique and diverse combination of leadership approaches in order to be successful. This presentation highlights those approaches and provides actionable insights into how leaders can become more influential and effective in driving their organizations forward.

Speaker Bio: Matt has over a decade of experience as a strategy, marketing, and research consultant for major corporations like Nestle, Keurig, Dow Chemical, and John Deere. In addition, he collaborates with high-growth small and medium businesses across the U.S. through his team leader role at the National Center for Economic Gardening, an economic development non-profit providing innovation-related market research and competitive intelligence. Matt is also the founder of the leadership training and development firm, GrowthCore Leadership.
